the harbour in Thiessow

At the end of June I spent 3 days in Thiessow. It’s a small village in the soutch-east part of Rügen – the biggest german island in the baltic sea. After finishing the painting, I realized that the right lower part in the painting is somehow empty. Back in Berlin, I added the heron.

fallow ground in Berlin-Mitte

As you can see, there are still wild places in the center of Berlin. Even not far away from all the government buildings. The building in the background with the big flags is the german Reichstag with a glass dome by Norman Foster at the top.

oil | öl; 25×25 cm | 9,8×9,8 in; € 310,–

Steamship in Dresden

steamship-in-dresdenMore then 6 weeks ago I was in Dresden again. The old city is stuffed with old churches, cathedrals and tourists. During the paint process the steam ship disappeared for twice, so I had to paint it from memory and simplified it. I think the name of the church is Kreuzkirche.

oil | öl; 30×30 cm | 11,8×11,8 in; € 330,–
