I was born 1967 in Sofia/Bulgaria. I grew up in Bulgaria and East Germany. After my military service I studied veterinary science in Berlin.
Every year in the summer holidays I visited my bulgarian grandparents. My grandfather was painting flowers and landscapes in oil. In their apartment there was often a smell of turpentine and linseed oil – the scent of fresh oil paintings.
