the-s-bahnsketch-berlin01sketch-berlin02

sketch-berlin03sketch-berlin04In the middle of november the weather allowed me to sketch outside So I took a little sketchbook and some pastels with me. I choose a place where I had a good view over some old buildings, partially destroyed during the last war.

some ink sketches

jackdawseschenahornochtrup1pfarrwitwenhaus

During the last months I had not much time for sketching, so I decided to upload some recent sketches from november and one from the summer I found recently. All of them are sketched on location with an inkpen and one also with colored pencils.

fallow ground in Berlin-Mitte

As you can see, there are still wild places in the center of Berlin. Even not far away from all the government buildings. The building in the background with the big flags is the german Reichstag with a glass dome by Norman Foster at the top.

Steamship in Dresden

steamship-in-dresdenMore then 6 weeks ago I was in Dresden again. The old city is stuffed with old churches, cathedrals and tourists. During the paint process the steam ship disappeared for twice, so I had to paint it from memory and simplified it. I think the name of the church is Kreuzkirche.
