The last week of february I was invited again to a short trip to Extremadura. After all these cold and dark days in middle Europe, a trip to Spain is always a good idea, where at the end of february swallows and storks are flying around.

Finally I found time to update this blog. I prepared some paintings, sketches and photos from the last 3 months. I start with two watercolors and some photos from the Havel river, about 70km west from Berlin. There, in a very small village – Bahnitz – I had a two days exhibition.

We were guided by Yadira and Karissa from TurExtremadura. »Responsible« for the birds were our guides Godfried and Martin. It was great to travel with them, they showed us a lot of places for bird observation.

The last 4 days of February, together with 25 birdwatchers and touroperators I was invited to a trip trough Extremadura. Our main destinations were Plasencia, Monfrague, Merida, Llerema and Zafra. There were a lot of interesting spots on the route, where we stopped. Stay tuned for part two.
